Desserts Galore @ PS Cafe

18/4/09, Saturday - My cousin, Yi and I went to PS Cafe at Dempsey Road for dessert on a warm Saturday night. We planned to have desserts at the cafe for a quite some time and finally we got our wish. :)

We had a light dinner before we headed down to Dempsey Road because the desserts are too pricey and also, the desserts usually come in big portions. We hailed a cab from Orchard Road because of its shorter distance and the taxi driver went to the other entrance thus, we almost couldn't find our way to the cafe. Usually, some taxi driver would enter from the Minden Road entrance as it is nearer to PS Cafe. Moreover, Dempsey Road is divided into many parts, hence, one can get lost if he/she failed to get the proper address.

So anyway, we managed to find the place without losing our sanity. The place was half-packed when we enter and we were placed on a waiting list. Within 10 minutes, we got our table. I realised that reservations is a must if I ever had to go to this cafe again.

I ordered Southern Fudgy Chocolate Pecan Pie with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream (S$14.90) and a cup of Earl Grey Tea (S$5.50).

Yi ordered Cheddar Cheese Crust Apple Pie A La Mode with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream (S$14.90) and a glass of Passion Fruit Drink. She wanted to have Lemon Pie, which only can be found in the Palais Renaissance's outlet, so in the end, she settled on the apple pie.

Halfway through our desserts, we realised that our desserts were tad too sweet especially my pecan pie which consists of two kinds of chocolate inside of the pie. Soon, the both of us almost die of overdose of sweet desserts and clearly, we lamented that we should have ordered a basket of fries and a plate of sweet dessert. Balanced.
